Created in 2002 the Urdaibai Foundation is a non-profit organization whose objective is the conservation and management of the natural heritage of the Basque Country.The current activities of the Foundation are focused on the territory of Biscay, with particular attention on Biosphere Reserve of Urdaibai.

AIMS
: To conserve biodiversity and promote understanding of species and their habitats, and ecological processes within the landscape.
To participate in the management of the territory, in order to promote recovery of threatened species, support research, and foster awareness and education.
